“Colleen and her team made the process easy. Three states; one day! A comprehensive move including antiques, a piano, and grandfather clock. The team was efficient, friendly, and careful. And the price was very reasonable. Will use again.”

“Colleen in the office — whenever I called with concerns or questions she answered the phone (no answer machine). That’s a big thing for me.”

THE DIFFERENCE

The difference between a mover and a broker

Much of what looks like a moving company online is a broker — a sales office that takes your deposit and sells your move to whoever will haul it. We are a carrier. The federal record lists our trucks, our drivers and our safety history under our own name, and the crew that quotes your move is the crew that shows up.

    COMMON QUESTIONS

    Questions people ask us

    Are you actually licensed?
Yes — and you should not take any mover’s word for that, including ours. We hold NJ PM 001009 with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, federal registration USDOT 821492, and our own interstate authority MC-364519. Every one links to the government record in our footer, so you can check before you call.
How much do movers cost in Bergen County?
For a local move, typical New Jersey figures run from a few hundred dollars for a studio to a few thousand for a large house — the calculator above shows published ranges by home size. New Jersey law requires a licensed mover to give you a written estimate, so treat any firm number quoted sight-unseen with suspicion.
How far ahead should I book?
As soon as you know your date. Saturdays and the start and end of each month go first, and summer fills faster than winter. If your date is open, it’s open — call and we’ll tell you straight.
    Do you handle long-distance moves?
Yes — under our own interstate operating authority, MC-364519. We are a carrier, not a broker: the crew that quotes your move is the crew that drives it, whether that’s across Bergen County or across the country.
    Can you pack for us?
Fully or partially — your whole home, just the kitchen and the breakables, or nothing at all if you’d rather pack yourself and have us load, haul and place.
Is Paramus Moving actually in Paramus?
We’re in Wyckoff — six miles up the road, at 466 Cedar Hill Ave. The name has been on our trucks for decades and we serve Paramus daily, but our home, our trucks and our family are in Wyckoff. We’d rather tell you that plainly than let a name do the talking.
