Website accessibility statement
Everyone planning a move should be able to use this website — with a screen reader, a keyboard, low vision, tremor, or a bright parking lot. This statement says what we built, what standard we build against, what we know still falls short, and exactly how to tell us when something is in your way.
Our commitment
Paramus Moving Inc. wants this website usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. Accessibility is part of how the site is built and maintained — not a widget bolted on afterwards, although a toolbar is provided too — and issues reported to us get fixed, not filed.

The standard we build against
This website is designed and tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the W3C — the standard referenced by the Department of Justice in ADA guidance for business websites. Conformance is assessed continuously as pages are added, with both automated checks and human review.
What is built into every page
- Real structureSemantic HTML: one h1 per page, ordered headings, landmarks, and a skip-to-content link — so screen readers can navigate by structure.
- Labeled formsEvery input on every estimate form carries a visible label; errors are announced in text, never by color alone.
- Keyboard accessEverything operable — menus, forms, the chat, the calculator — works from a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- ContrastText and interface colors are chosen against WCAG contrast ratios, on light and dark grounds alike.
- Motion respectThe hero video and interface animations honor your system’s reduced-motion setting; the video is decorative, silent, and replaced by a still image on phones.
- Readable textText scales with your browser settings; inputs are sized so phones do not force-zoom; wide tables sit in labeled scrollable regions so nothing is cut off on a small screen.
- Alternative textMeaningful images carry descriptions; decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology.
The accessibility toolbar
Every page carries an accessibility button (bottom-left corner) providing the ADA Web Pro toolbar. It offers, among other controls:
- ProfilesOne-tap adjustment sets for motor, visual, cognitive, and senior needs.
- Text and displayText size, line height, letter spacing, and contrast adjustments, applied instantly and remembered on your device.
- Reading aidsReading tools including read-aloud for page text.
- Stay-out-of-the-wayThe button can be hidden; a “Show accessibility button” link in the footer brings it back at any time.
The toolbar supplements the underlying accessibility of the pages — it is not a substitute for it.
Compatibility
The site is built to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, on desktop and mobile, and with common assistive technologies including screen readers (such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver), screen magnification, and voice control. It requires no plugins.
Known limitations
- Embedded mapsThe map panels on the contact pages are provided by Google; their internal accessibility is Google’s. Every address they show is also provided in plain text.
- Third-party destinationsLinks to review platforms, social networks, and government registries lead to sites whose accessibility we do not control.
- Illustrative imagerySome truck and crew images are stock or illustrative, not photographs of our own staff; we describe them in alt text as accurately as we can.
